Business meeting in Alexandria, Egypt

HAMAC, together with ITS Hellas (Intelligent Transportation Systems) represented Greece in the first business delegation in Alexandria, Egypt, 21-22/11/2017, in the frame of a three-parties cooperation between Greece, Cyprus and Egypt. In this first meeting, representatives from all 3 countries, exchanged experiences and ideas for the development of a common business platform, while at the same time, presented products and services of innovative mobile applications, targeting in new client cooperations between the companies of the 3 countries. The HAMAC member companies that presented their products and services, were: Telenavis, Regate, ATC, Softone, Vidavo, MPASS, Motivian, msensis, Simply POS, Nable, as well as Patras Science Park. HAMAC was represented by Konstantinos Haniotis, Chairman of BoD and CEO Telenavis and ITS Hellas by Prof. George Stefanidis, General Secretary of BoD. Next steps to be followed is a development of a digital platform – COIN, where the companies and the business and academic institutes can communicate and create common synergies. The COiN platform is expected to be in use within the 1st 6months of 2018.  

Athens Games Festival – AGF17

ΗΑΜΑC, in cooperation with the General Secretary of Media and Communication of the Ministry of Digital Policy, Telecommunictions and Media, in the frame of the 1st Athens Games Festival 2017 (AGF17), organized the “HAMAC Mobile Games” innovative contest. 19 ideas have been submitted in this contest. The best 3 awarded were: First award: team Happyland Entertainment for the gameι “Go Heroes: Prometheus” Second award: team Traptics for the game “Ricochet Revolt: Lights Out” Τhird award: team Gemcraft Games for the game “Connectum” All ideas have been evaluated by a special committee, composed by: Konstantinos Haniotis, HAMAC BoD Chairman & CEO Telenavis George Markatatos, HAMAC BoD Member & CEO Regate Joseph Psistakis, CEO Eyelead, HAMAC member company Alexandra Choli, Partner, Metavallon Venture Capital Konstantinos Karpouzis, Research Director, NTUA, Ιnstitute of Communications & P/C Systems Representatives of the 3 teams have been presented in the thematic booth for “Games” in the Greek Pavillion in Mobile World Congress – MWC2018 (26/2-1/3), Barcelona, Spain, which was organized by HAMAC, giving the teams the opportunity in presenting their ideas in the biggest event of digital communication. They also had unique presence in the Greek Pavillion at 4YFN (4 Years From Now) event, held at the same time with the MWC.  

Mobile Excellence Awards 2017

Event organized for the 3rd year by Boussias Communications, in cooperation with Eltrun/AUEB and the auspices of HAMAC. George Markatatos, HAMAC DoB member and CEO Regate, participated in the evaluation committee and represented HAMAC in ceremony, where businesses and brands using good practices in the field of mobile business and marketing for the use of new technologies in specific applications, targeting the client as well bringing innovation in their products and services have been awarded.  

Mobile mini MBA 5th course

The 5th course of IDTiMA mini MBA: Innovation and Design Thinking in Mobile Applications and Services, a joint initiative of AUEB/Eltrun, Samsung, HAMAC and INNOVATHENS powered by Samsung. The course is being offered for free and is dedicated to students of excellence or graduates from Universities, Technical and Polytechnical Schools, who are unemployed and wish to acquire skills in digital business, emphasized in the constantly field of mobile applications and services. This course helps the participants in designing and development of new services and products based in mobile innovative technologies.  

ΚΕΔΕ City Challenge

ΗΑΜΑC supported the 1st “CITY CHALLENGE” – crowdhackathon #smartcity Marathon for the Development of Applications and Services, organized by the Central Union of Municipalities and Communities of Greece (KEDE), with the technological support of Crowdpolicy. ΗΑΜΑC member companies had the chance to present “best practices for municipalities and tools for funding in innovation”. These companies were: iLink, Motivian, Noveltech, Softone, Telenavis, Vidavo

Mobile World Congress

HAMAC organized for the 5th consecutive year the Greek participation in Mobile World Congress, the biggest event in Digital Communication. More than 25 companies presented their innovative products and services in the pavillion. Located in Hall 8.1, booth I49, in the main corridor.  

Ο Γιώργος Δημόπουλος, Venture Friends, στο Startup Grind Athens

Πραγματοποιείται την Τρίτη 24 Ιανουαρίου 2017 υπό την αιγίδα του ΣΕΚΕΕ και με την υποστήριξη του INNOVATHENS η εκδήλωση του Startup Grind Athens, με καλεσμένο την Γιώργο Δημόπουλο, Partner, Venture Friends.  Το Venture Friends fund έχει επενδύσει σε 19 εταιρείες στον χώρο της τεχνολογίας. Από αυτές, οι 7 είναι στον χώρο του e-commerce/ e-marketplaces, οι 7 είναι στον χώρο των SaaS υπηρεσιών και AdTech, ενώ οι υπόλοιπες 5 εταιρείες είναι On-Demand υπηρεσίες. Ενδεικτικά, το portfolio του fund απαριθμεί ως τώρα επενδύσεις στις εξής ελληνικές startup: Taxibeat, e–table.gr, Nannuka, Funkmartini, Blueground, Douleutaras.gr, Pockee, Weengs, reEmbed και Spotmechanics.Ο Γιώργος είναι angel investor τα τελευταία 5 χρόνια, επενδύοντας σε ελληνικές και ξένες εταιρείες τεχνολογίας. Έχει μακρά εμπειρία στον χώρο του finance/deal structuring έχοντας εργαστεί στην Bank of America Merrill Lynch του Λονδίνου όπου συμμετείχε σε acquisitions συνολικής αξίας πάνω από €17 δις. Ο Γιάννης Παπαδάκης, Pollfish, στο Startup Grind Athens

Πραγματοποιείται την Τρίτη 20 Δεκεμβρίου 2016 υπό την αιγίδα του ΣΕΚΕΕ και με την υποστήριξη του INNOVATHENS η εκδήλωση του Startup Grind Athens, με καλεσμένο την Γιάννη Παπαδάκη, Co-founder και CΕO Pollfish.  Η εταιρεία που ιδρύθηκε το 2013 έχει γραφεία σε Νέα Υόρκη και Salt Lake City και έχει λάβει μέχρι σήμερα $4,3 εκατομμύρια χρηματοδότηση. Η εταιρεία έχει ως σκοπό να κάνει πιο απλή και έγκυρη την διαδικασία δημοσκοπήσεων. Με το εντυπωσιακό reach των των 350.000.000 καταναλωτών για δημοσκοπήσεις, έχει ήδη εξασφαλίσει πρωτοσέλιδα για την επιτυχή πρόβλεψη των Αμερικανικών εκλογών, την στιγμή που οι περισσότερες παραδοσιακές εταιρείες δημοσκοπήσεων έβγαζαν Hillary Clinton. O Γιάννης, πήρε το πτυχίο του σαν Ηλεκτρολόγος Μηχανικός και Μηχανικός Η/Υ από το Πανεπιστήμιο Πάτρας. Μετά την ολοκλήρωση των σπουδών του εργάστηκε ως freelance προγραμματιστής σε μεγάλες εταιρείες όπως η Box και συμμετείχε στην ανάπτυξη των πρώτων και πιο δημοφιλών mobile apps. Μετά την σύντομη καριέρα του ως freelancer, βρήκε το πραγματικό του πάθος: να δημιουργήσει μια εταιρεία από το μηδέν, άλλες φορές με επιτυχία και κάποιες άλλες όχι. Συμμετείχε στο  Pajap, ένα self-service mobile που κυκλοφόρησε το 2013, ως Co-founder και κατέληξε αμέσως μετά στο επιτυχημένο Pollfish.

eBusiness Forum 2016 υπό την αιγίδα του ΣΕΚΕΕ

Πραγματοποιείται σήμερα, 6 Δεκεμβρίου 2016 υπό την αιγίδα του ΣΕΚΕΕ το 12ο eBisuness Forum 2016, στο Divani Caravel Hotel. Στο συνέδριο παρουσιάζονται θέματα σχετικά με την αξιοποίηση των κοινωνικών δικτύων για επιχειρηματικούς σκοπούς που αναπτύσσονται ραγδαία. Αναλύονται έρευνες για τη συμπεριφορά των καταναλωτών στο διαδίκτυο, τις τάσεις της αγοράς και τις περιοχές επιχειρηματικού ενδιαφέροντος. Αναφέρονται καλές πρακτικές e-working και επιχειρηματικών εφαρμογών σε κινητές συσκευές. Προβάλλονται καινοτομίες και νέες επιχειρηματικές προσπάθειες ηλεκτρονικού επιχειρείν που δίνουν αισιοδοξία για το μέλλον του τόπου. Απευθύνεται σε στελέχη που ασχολούνται με την επιχειρηματική αξιοποίηση του Διαδικτύου ή παρέχουν συναφή προϊόντα και υπηρεσίες, αλλά και στο ευρύ κοινό που επιθυμεί να ενημερωθεί για τις εξελίξεις και τις ευκαιρίες επιχειρηματικότητας και απασχόλησης που προσφέρονται στο δυναμικό αυτό κλάδο. Ο Γενικός Διευθυντής, Γιάννης Κωτσής-Γιανναράκης, απηύθυνε χαιρετισμό στην έναρξη του συνεδρίου, ενώ ο Αντιπρόεδρος, Γιώργος Καραντώνης, συμμετείχε στην Τρίτη Ενότητα με θέμα: Rising Stars για την Νεανική Επιχειρηματικότητα.
