Women in Digital Era / Μέγαρο Υπατία

In the occasion of “Women’s Day”, HAMAC in cooperation with IME-GSEVEE, presented the specific research (by Kapa-Research) about the relation of women with the updated technological tools in digital communication. A panel of 5 women in the first line of businesses shared their experience and difficulties they face in every day business and proposed possible solutions. Mobile World Congress and 4 Years From Now

HAMAC organized for the 6th consecutive year the Greek participation in Mobile World Congress, the biggest event in Digital Communication. This year, our presence was upgraded, participating at the same time with a Greek Pavillion at the parallel event 4 Years From Now (4YFN), dedicated to startups. 35 companies presented their innovative products and services in both venues. Greece Scales Up! was our motto this year.  

BBC ICT cluster Bulgaria

Yiannis Kotsis-Giannarakis participated in Balkan and Black Sea Cluster (BBC ICT Cluster), a clusters initiative aiming in helping the BB area clusters in having access in funding via european funded projects or other initiatives for enhancing businesses between the cluster’s members.  

Technology Helps Economy (THE), Ναυτιλία και Τεχνολογία workshop / INNOVATHENS

HAMAC, organized the thematic workshop “Technology Helps Economy: Shipping and Technology”, On Friday the 19th of Jaunary 2018 at INNOVATHENS powered by Samsung. In this workshop George Xiradakis, Propeller Club Chairman presented the latest updates in shipping and future synergies with the technological innovators while HAMAC member companies offering innovative technological solutions in the shipping industry presented their products and services. A constructive discussion followed, for the development of synergies in the shipping field. The companies that presented in the workshop were: Propulsion Analytics, Metis Cyberspace Technologies, comBox (by Protonyx Data Services), Vidavo, Nable Solutions  

Get into Games – GiG → ignite held at INNOVATHENS

A workshop dedicated to games developers, trying to help them in solving major issues related to their business. Some of the basic FAQs that the games developers are trying to figure out: How do i fund a video game? What are the dangers in funding? How do I patent my idea? What is the target group in which my game will be applied? How do I feature in Play Store? How do I choose the best possible channel for promoting my game? At the workshop, speakers-experts from the field of gaming, games business and marketing participated trying to give solutions to all these questions. Christian Fonnesbech presented how Figuring out investors, publishers and partners Marili Mitropoulou presented Smarter Growth, Powered by Google’s Machine Learning Renia Papathanasiou, Prodromos Tsiavos and Iraklis Papatheodorou presented IPRGames: Stories of business and hope from the Game Industry in Greece Yiannis Kotsis-Giannarakis, George Markatatos represented HAMAC and presented its initiatives for the enhancement of the Game Industry in Greece.  

Business meeting in Alexandria, Egypt

HAMAC, together with ITS Hellas (Intelligent Transportation Systems) represented Greece in the first business delegation in Alexandria, Egypt, 21-22/11/2017, in the frame of a three-parties cooperation between Greece, Cyprus and Egypt. In this first meeting, representatives from all 3 countries, exchanged experiences and ideas for the development of a common business platform, while at the same time, presented products and services of innovative mobile applications, targeting in new client cooperations between the companies of the 3 countries. The HAMAC member companies that presented their products and services, were: Telenavis, Regate, ATC, Softone, Vidavo, MPASS, Motivian, msensis, Simply POS, Nable, as well as Patras Science Park. HAMAC was represented by Konstantinos Haniotis, Chairman of BoD and CEO Telenavis and ITS Hellas by Prof. George Stefanidis, General Secretary of BoD. Next steps to be followed is a development of a digital platform – COIN, where the companies and the business and academic institutes can communicate and create common synergies. The COiN platform is expected to be in use within the 1st 6months of 2018.  

Athens Games Festival – AGF17

ΗΑΜΑC, in cooperation with the General Secretary of Media and Communication of the Ministry of Digital Policy, Telecommunictions and Media, in the frame of the 1st Athens Games Festival 2017 (AGF17), organized the “HAMAC Mobile Games” innovative contest. 19 ideas have been submitted in this contest. The best 3 awarded were: First award: team Happyland Entertainment for the gameι “Go Heroes: Prometheus” Second award: team Traptics for the game “Ricochet Revolt: Lights Out” Τhird award: team Gemcraft Games for the game “Connectum” All ideas have been evaluated by a special committee, composed by: Konstantinos Haniotis, HAMAC BoD Chairman & CEO Telenavis George Markatatos, HAMAC BoD Member & CEO Regate Joseph Psistakis, CEO Eyelead, HAMAC member company Alexandra Choli, Partner, Metavallon Venture Capital Konstantinos Karpouzis, Research Director, NTUA, Ιnstitute of Communications & P/C Systems Representatives of the 3 teams have been presented in the thematic booth for “Games” in the Greek Pavillion in Mobile World Congress – MWC2018 (26/2-1/3), Barcelona, Spain, which was organized by HAMAC, giving the teams the opportunity in presenting their ideas in the biggest event of digital communication. They also had unique presence in the Greek Pavillion at 4YFN (4 Years From Now) event, held at the same time with the MWC.
